Calvin Institute Grant Enables Furthering of JBL Work

JOURNEY TO BAPTISMAL LIVING AWARDED CALVIN INSTITUTE GRANT

The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship (CICW) recently announced with gratitude forty-one
new Vital Worship Grants to recipients across the United States and Canada. Journey to
Baptismal Living was awarded one of those grants.

JBL will use the funds from this grant to develop videos of the catechumenate rites that will
then be incorporated into the Catechumenate Basics: Methods, Rites and Reflections for the
Way course. “Catechumenate Basics…” is a five-week online course designed to orient
congregational teams on how to implement the catechumenate process.

In 2023 CICW refreshed the title of its grants program to Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grants Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grants  and offers two submission dates for proposals (January and October 15, 2023). Beginning in 2024, three submission dates will be available.

Journey to Baptismal Living is an ecumenical community of Christians seeking to support formation in
discipleship by exploring the meaning of baptismal identity, faith, and mission. The leadership offers
training programs and events to develop skills and resources for baptismal preparation and for
